A few days ago, I was enjoying a documentary about Einstein and the geniuses of the last century. I stopped to reflect when one reporter asks another. What is the difference between a normal brain and that of a genius? Curious question isn’t it?

The first responds that the genius is obsessed with an idea and does not let it go. He turns it around, imagines it, perceives it, feels it, until his brain opens the floodgates of wisdom.  It is in this moment that new neural connections are being formed, being able to even modify the anatomy of the human brain. The brain is being modified, and this is how we develop the skills and talents we need to carry out our goal. This science is called neuroplasticity.

And what would happen to a normal brain if it did the same? I think that science is not prejudiced when it comes to normals. Instead it shows us that anyone who focuses their attention with discipline and passion can develop new neural connections.

The people who achieve their goals understand that it is along the way, with determination and in the tenacity of our character that talents and skills are displayed and the fullness of the human being is manifested in all its splendor when we are creating and loving.

It is in our minds where the battle is first lost.
If we have the will and commitment there is no one to stop us.

We do not see the world as it is, we see the world as we are.
