Today,​ ​I​ ​want​ ​to​ ​tell​ ​you​ ​about​ ​our​ ​habits​ ​which​ ​are​ ​so​ ​powerful​ ​that​ ​when​ ​our​ ​body​ ​memorizes​ ​them​ ​we​ ​no​ ​longer​ ​need​ ​to​ ​think​ ​about​ ​them​ ​in​ ​order​ ​to​ ​execute​ ​them.

I’m​ ​going​ ​to​ ​give​ ​you​ ​an​ ​example​ ​of​ ​my​ ​own.

A​ ​little​ ​over​ ​a​ ​month​ ​ago​ ​I​ ​underwent​ ​a​ ​visual​ ​correction​ ​intervention,​ ​in​ ​order​ ​to​ ​be​ ​able​ ​to​ ​read​ ​without​ ​the​ ​need​ ​of​ ​reading​ ​glasses,​ ​and​ ​yet​ ​when​ ​I​ ​sit​ ​to​ ​read​ ​a​ ​book​ ​the​ ​first​ ​thought​ ​that​ ​comes​ ​to​ ​mind​ ​is​ ​“where​ ​did​ ​I​ ​leave​ ​my​ ​glasses”.

Habits​ ​are​ ​said​ ​to​ ​form​ ​after​ ​you​ ​have​ ​been​ ​constantly​ ​executing​ ​them​ ​for​ ​more​ ​than​ ​30​ ​days.​ ​Imagine,​ ​I​ ​had​ ​been​ ​using​ ​reading​ ​glasses​ ​since​ ​my​ ​mid​ ​40s.

Many​ ​of​ ​us​ ​know​ ​or​ ​at​ ​least​ ​suspect​ ​that​ ​this​ ​pandemic​ ​has​ ​changed​ ​our​ ​lives​ ​which​ ​coincidentally​ ​will​ ​also​ ​change​ ​our​ ​personal​ ​habits.​ ​Reflect​ ​on​ ​this.​ ​Why?​ ​​ ​Because​ ​as​ ​we​ ​are​ ​forming​ ​new​ ​habits,​ ​try​ ​to​ ​figure​ ​out​ ​if​ ​they​ ​will​ ​add​ ​or​ ​subtract​ ​to​ ​our​ ​well​ ​being.

We​ ​are​ ​at​ ​the​ ​threshold​ ​of​ ​new​ ​opportunities,​ ​and​ ​every​ ​crisis​ ​brings​ ​with​ ​it​ ​new​ ​challenges.

Dedicate​ ​time​ ​to​ ​your​ ​dreams​ ​and​ ​longings​ ​…​ ​rescue​ ​those​ ​that​ ​the​ ​pandemic​ ​hindered. And​ ​make​ ​this​ ​a​ ​habit​ ​too!

Don’t​ ​forget​ ​that​ ​when​ ​you​ ​invest​ ​time​ ​in​ ​yourself​ ​you​ ​are​ ​investing​ ​in​ ​your​ ​future.
